50/50 Heavy Duty (HD) Extended Life Coolant (ELC)
ELC Heavy Duty antifreeze/coolant is a 50/50 premixed. This coolant is "Fully Formulated" using Chevron-Texaco inhibitor technology. This coolant comes pre-charged with nitrate to protect wet sleeve liners from cavitation.
Concentrate or Ready-to-Use 50/50 Pre-Mixed Antifreeze?
Rice offers both concentrate and 50/50 Pre-Mix; however, the simple answer is KISS. Keep It Simple, buy 50/50 Pre-Mix and avoid all the hassles and risks of techs not consitently and properly diluting the concentrate with distilled water (often techs use city tap water or worse well water; not ideal as it encourages destructive deposits). It takes valuable time to get this distilled water/antifreeze concentrate ratio just right at your shop and there's a lot that can go wrong when you are pressed for time and try to do it yourself.
