Confused what color antifreeze/coolant to use in which engine?
Red, green, blue, yellow, purple, orange, pink (yes, there's even pink). Which color is the right chemistry for which engine?
Tired of the hassles of stocking so many different colors of antifreeze?
And if that's not enough, what time spent to adequately train your service writers so they can clearly explain this to your customers?
Make the move to UNIVERSAL ELC (Extended Life Coolant) antifreeze
It's a 50/50 premixed concentration and is fully compatible with other extended life coolants along with conventional green antifreeze. It's been colored yellow to be compatible with other colors for top offs (so you don't get that narly looking brown color). As you look for more ways to do more with less, Rice's Universal ELC antifreeze is the one product for all light-duty applications.
50/50 Universal ELC eliminates the need for Dex-Cool, Original Green & GO-5. Its the only one you need for cars and light duty trucks
Concentrate or Ready-to-Use 50/50 Pre-Mixed Antifreeze?
Rice offers both concentrate and 50/50 Pre-Mix; however, the simple answer is KISS. Keep It Simple, buy 50/50 Pre-Mix and avoid all the hassles and risks of techs not consitently and properly diluting the concentrate with distilled water (often techs use city tap water or worse well water; not ideal as it encourages destructive deposits). It takes valuable time to get this distilled water/antifreeze concentrate ratio just right at your shop and there's a lot that can go wrong when you are pressed for time and try to do it yourself.
